Lola uses a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approach, which means looking at how our thoughts and feelings impact our behavior. She sometimes uses mindfulness exercises to help alleviate stress. Are the sessions online?

Yes. Lola is a certified distance counselor and offers phone sessions or online sessions. For phone sessions, Lola typically calls you. To initiate a pre-arranged online session with Lola, please navigate here and click on the ‘start a telemedicine call’ link. Due to the coronavirus, Lola no longer offers in-person sessions.

How long does counseling take?

Most people find that 8 to 12 sessions of weekly counseling sessions can help them to gain clarity and address their current challenges. This is also enough time to implement changes and see the impact of those changes in your life. Sometimes, people continue in counseling because they find it improves their wellbeing and overall outlook on life.

What can I expect?

You can expect to be treated with dignity and respect, in a caring environment that supports you and helps you to reach your goals.
